Working as a team

Invite people into your workspace, each with a role: they work on all its projects. Pro and Business plans include unlimited members; the workspace owner pays for everything done in it.

1. Your workspace

Your account is your workspace: “My workspace”. The people you invite join it and reach all its projects, according to their role.

You can belong to several workspaces. Switch between them with the workspace selector at the top left: projects, credits and plan follow the workspace you are in.

2. Seats

Pro and Business: unlimited members. Free: no members besides you.

The Members screen shows the number of seats taken: every member counts, viewers included — except you, the owner. Pending invitations only count when your plan has a limited number of seats.

3. Invite a member

  1. In the left menu, open “Members”, then click “Invite”.
  2. Enter the person’s email address, choose their role, then click “Send invitation”.
  3. The person receives an email and clicks “See the invitation”, then “Create my account” or “I already have an account”. Once they have signed up or signed in, they join the workspace automatically: nothing else to click. If they are already signed in, they click “Join workspace”.
  4. If they already have a Makasi account, the invitation also shows at the top of their screen in Makasi: they can click “Accept” there.

Only the owner and admins manage members. An invitation is valid for 7 days; under “Pending invitations”, you can resend or cancel it.

4. Roles

Owner: every right; the only one who handles billing (plan, payments, credits) and the BYOK mode.

Admin: manages members and every project, without access to billing.

Editor: creates and edits projects, chats with Makasi, builds and publishes.

Viewer: looks at projects without changing anything.

On the Members screen, the owner or an admin can change a member’s role at any time. It does not change the seat count.

5. Remove or leave

On the Members screen, “Remove” takes away the person’s access to the workspace’s projects right away. You can invite them again later.

A member can leave on their own with “Leave workspace”. To come back, they will need a new invitation.

6. One person at a time on a project

On a project, only one person makes changes at a time. The others see the chat, the preview and the progress live, in read-only mode.

When that person has been inactive for a few minutes, an editor can click “Take over”. The owner and admins can take over at any time.

7. Who pays

Everything done in a workspace is paid by its owner — their credits, and their own AI key if BYOK is on — even when another member starts the work. Each member keeps their own credits for their own workspace.

The owner’s plan applies to all the workspace’s projects: a member on the Free plan works there with the owner’s plan.

If the owner’s balance is empty, a member cannot launch a build and is asked to contact the owner.

8. If you change plan

Moving to the Free plan suspends your members: they lose access and show as “Suspended”. They get their access back, without a new invitation, if you return to Pro or Business.

9. Frequently asked questions
